About us
Origins
YTC was founded in 1995 as a close corporation known as Tony Marreiros Construction cc to provide Engineering and Construction services to customers in the Richards Bay area.

In 2005, Tony’s Construction sold 51% of its ownership to black partners, Ambrose Msiza as CEO and Dumisani Dlamini as a shareholder which led to the start of YTC.  Both the new partners brought a wealth of experience in their respective fields making this deal a valuable proposition.  Not only for Black Economic Empowerment, but also for the customers benefiting from the injection of new skills and expertise.

Yandisa, the Zulu word for “growing together” is an appropriate name given the anticipated growth heralded by the newly formed partnership and merging of expertise.

Located in Richards Bay and a newly opened branch in Newcastle, YTC operates throughout South Africa with the majority of work carried out on customer’s sites.

Expertise
YTC employs full-time, qualified and experienced staff and is committed to developing its workforce, ensuring that people are positioned in the right jobs.  The team continuously identifies employees who demonstrate YTC’s core competencies.

In conjunction with Merseta, YTC has embarked on a development programme that will enable the company to train its employees and potential employees in various engineerin skills such as welding, fitting and boilermaking. This process will help to address the enormous skills shortage experienced in this region and countrywide.
